Changelog

  • Our MSI-installer now requires an installation key. Unattended installation using the MSI-installer is still supported. Please refer to the chapter "Installation" in our help to learn how to pass the installation key as a command line parameter.
  • The performance of scans of mobile devices has been increased significantly.
  • If an interval of a scheduled TreeSize task was changed in Windows Scheduled Tasks to a setting not supported by TreeSize, the interval now remains unaltered when editing the task in TreeSize.
  • The free and total space of mobile devices is now shown in the status bar and the drive list.
  • TreeSize now takes the new NTFS compression features of Windows 10 into account as long as the option "Tools > Options > Scan > Track NTFS-specific features" is switched on. Please note: Files that are compressed using these new algorithms are not flagged as compressed by Windows in the file attributes.
  • A new option to deactivate the drag and drop features of TreeSize has been added to "Tools > Options > View > General" (requires activating the "expert mode" checkbox). Turning off drag and drop should prevent unwanted changes on critical systems.
  • The TreeSize task scheduler now supports specifying a text file containing the scan paths using the command line parameter /SCAN.
  • Bugfix: On some systems the folder dropdown box on the top left of the main window behaved strangely when typing a path or selecting a path. These issues have been corrected.
  • Bugfix: When using scheduled scans to export multiple reports to a PDF file, all reports (not only the latest) will be exported.
  • Bugfix: Scheduled scans sending reports by email will no longer use the setting up to which level the hierarchy shall be exported from the HTML export options, but from the email export options. These options can be configured in the TreeSize "Options" dialog.
  • Bugfix: Compressing and decompressing folders in the "Details" list now works recursively again.
  • Bugfix: A crash which occurred when TreeSize was using more than 4GB of memory has been fixed.
  • Bugfix: Activating and deactivating columns in the "Details" list via the "Options" dialog no longer shrinks them to a width of 0 pixels.
  • Bugfix: An error occurring after saving a scan that had been compared with a saved XML file has been fixed.
  • Bugfix: The "Extensions" statistics is now filled correctly even if the small chart on the bottom is disabled.
  • Bugfix: Creating a portable installation of TreeSize v6.3 over an existing older version now results in a properly licensed portable installation.
  • Bugfix: When creating a portable installation certain USB hard drives are no longer detected as fixed internal drives.
  • Bugfix: The feature "Home > Open TreeSize File Search > Files with long paths" did not scan for long paths but restarted the last search. This is no longer the case.
  • Bugfix
  • File Search: An error preventing the search of IP address ranges like "\\192.168.123.*" has been fixed.
  • Numerous minor improvements and fixes have been included.
